How this works
- Cut-out: the body tracker finds hips, knees and ankles in the product photo (or you place them), samples the fabric colour along the legs, and keeps the connected region of that colour between the waistline and the hem. Hands covering the fabric are painted over. Each colour has a front and a back cut-out.
- Try-on: the tracker runs in a background thread, so the video stays smooth while it works. The cut-out is split into a pelvis part and two legs and bent onto your skeleton on the GPU. When you turn around it switches to the back view.
- Cost: everything runs on your phone or laptop. The site is static files, so any number of people can use it at once for free.
Known limits
- It's a flat picture bent onto your body: no real fabric drape, and it looks thin in side views.
- It shows style, colour and length on your body. It doesn't tell you which size fits.
- Your own clothes can show around the edges if they're wider than the pants.
