How this works
- Cut-out: the body tracker finds hips, knees and ankles in the product photo, samples the fabric colour along the legs, and keeps the connected region of that colour between the waistline and the hem. Hands covering the fabric are painted over.
- Try-on: every camera frame, the tracker finds your hips, knees and ankles. The cut-out is split into a pelvis part and two legs and bent onto your skeleton with WebGL, so it follows your stance and steps.
- Cost: MediaPipe (Apache-2.0) and WebGL run on your phone or laptop. The only hosting needed is static files.
Known limits
- It's a flat 2D picture bent onto your body: no real fabric drape, and it looks flat when you turn sideways.
- It shows style, colour and length on your body. It doesn't tell you which size fits.
- The cut-out depends on colour, so black pants with a black top need the waistline slider, and white or beige pants on a light background may fail.
